proionic is proud to announce to have gained REACH registration for its submitted substance EMIM-OAc (1-ethyl-3-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium-acetate).
The decision of the EUROPEAN CHEMICALS AGENCY (ECHA) entitles proionic GmbH to produce a tonnage between 1 and 10 tonnes / year of EMIM-OAc.
"Due to its outstanding dissolution performance on biomass a wide range of different applications already exist for EMIM-OAc. Based on ECHA’s decision, proionic is now able to further enlarge production of EMIM-OAc going along with a competitive advantage for its customers. Ionic liquid production processes at proionic are designed to deliver constant high-quality of ultra-pure ionic liquids. Now, we are pleased being able to further address customer needs by providing large-scale quantities of EMIM-OAc necessary for industrial applications", says Bernhard Ludwig, proionic’s Head of Operations & Sales.
